Welcome — from The Viking

This space is a reflection of who I am now, and the journey that brought me here.

Many people know me as DJ 5Star — a name tied to music, energy, and good times. These days, that part of me still exists, but it’s evolved into something deeper. “The Viking” is my alter ego — not a mask, but a truer version of myself. A way to rebuild, create, and move forward with purpose.

I still love what I’ve always loved — DJing, producing, computing, gaming, and just having a laugh with good people. That passion never left. It just had to find a new way to exist.

Life hasn’t been straightforward. I live with Asperger’s, and I’ve battled depression and anxiety for a long time. There are ongoing health challenges too — cognitive issues under investigation, PTSD, epilepsy, and non-epileptic attack disorder. More recently, I’ve also been diagnosed with a cancerous tumour on my kidney — something I’m facing with strength, realism, and determination.

These things changed my path completely and pulled me away from the life I once knew.

There was a time when everything went dark. I found myself surrounded by the wrong people — users, abusers, and situations I was never meant to be part of. I’ve faced rumours, setbacks, and even an attempt on my life. I lost time, trust, and direction. Like many people, I made mistakes — but I’ve learned from them, grown from them, and I’m still here.

Through everything, I’ve always tried to be a decent, honest, and kind person. That hasn’t changed.

I also come from strong roots. My family history traces back through Denmark and into Norway — something officially recognised and confirmed. That sense of heritage means a lot to me. It’s part of where “The Viking” comes from — strength, resilience, and identity.

I won’t pretend it’s easy. Some days I still feel like I’m in my 20s, and others I see someone older staring back at me. But instead of fighting that, I’ve started blending it — my past and present especially in pictures it brings me peace, comfort and the ability for my alter-ego to have a face, Me presently and my younger self and who I am now — through music, visuals, and expression.

That’s what this site is about.

This is where I share my world — through music, images, videos, and thoughts. It’s about creativity, honesty, healing, and positivity. Not perfection — just real.

Going forward, I want this space to grow. Expect a mix of retro gaming, coding, music, and whatever else sparks that creative fire. This is me, building something meaningful, one step at a time.
